Alliance players reach Astranaar in about 9 minutes from Stormwind. Horde players reach Splintertree Post in about 1 minutes from Orgrimmar. The steps below start at your capital's flight master and use the fastest mix of flights, boats and zeppelins in Forever's travel data.

Alliance: from Stormwind

  1. Walk from the Stormwind flight master to Stormwind Harbor (884 yards, about 2 minutes on foot).
  2. Take the boat from Stormwind Harbor to Auberdine. The ride takes about 1 minute, and one leaves about every 4 minutes.
  3. Walk from the Auberdine dock to the Auberdine flight master (437 yards, about 1 minute on foot).
  4. Fly from Auberdine to Astranaar, about 3 minutes.

About 9 minutes in all, counting the average wait for the boat.

Horde: from Orgrimmar

  1. Fly from Orgrimmar to Splintertree Post, about 1 minute.

About 1 minutes in all.

Flight points in Ashenvale

  • Astranaar: Alliance
  • Zoram'gar Outpost: Horde
  • Splintertree Post: Horde

Pick up the flight point the first time you arrive, so the next trip is a single flight.

Good to know

  • You can only fly to flight points you've already found. Talk to each flight master on the way once.
  • Boats and zeppelins went missing for long stretches in launch week, and Blizzard added temporary portals near most docks. See boat or zeppelin not coming.
  • The times are estimates. Flight times were measured in Classic and boat timings are modelled, so allow a minute or two either way.
  • The Shortest Path Forever add-on plans any route like this in game.
