WoW Forever Races

ClassesPlan a characterForum
10 races5 per factionNew: SkyborneBeta data

Ten races, five per faction. The Skyborne are new: Horde-aligned Windshaper SkyborneWindshapers and Alliance-aligned High Order SkyborneHigh Order. Six race and class pairs are new as well: OrcOrc Mages, TrollTroll Warlocks, UndeadUndead Paladins, HumanHuman Hunters, GnomeGnome Priests and DwarfDwarf Shamans.

Beta dataBlizzard has published racials only for the Skyborne. Its Priest notes say racials were reworked, so we don't assume Classic ones. The rest come from the live client on launch day.

HordeHorde

OrcOrc

  • Mage: OrcOrc Mages are new in Forever. Pick them if you want something fresh on the Horde side.

TaurenTauren

TrollTroll

  • Priest: The other Horde Priest. Fear Ward is baseline for every Priest now, so race no longer decides your utility.
  • Warlock: TrollTroll Warlocks are new in Forever. A fresh pick on the Horde side.

UndeadUndead

  • Paladin: The only Horde Paladin, and new in Forever. If you want to play a Paladin on the Horde side, this is your race.
  • Priest: Also gets reworked Priest racials according to Blizzard's class post. A strong Horde candidate; details on launch day.
  • Warlock: OrcOrc, TrollTroll and UndeadUndead are the Horde Warlocks. Pick on looks until Blizzard posts the reworked racials.

Windshaper SkyborneWindshaper SkyborneNew race

A Skyborne character choosing Alliance or Horde
  • Classes: DruidHunterRogueShamanWarrior
  • Starts: Zephras Isle (levels 1–12)
  • Walk on Air: Glide down through the air for 10 seconds.
  • Skysight: An elemental blessing that raises run speed by 10%.
  • Wind Blessed: Passive: 1% more melee, ranged and spell haste.
  • Elemental Insight: Passive: 5% more damage against Elementals.

Source: Blizzard: Meet the Skyborne · checked 1 Nov 2026

  • Warrior: Wind Blessed's 1% haste means more swings and more Rage, and the faster run speed from Skysight helps a class with no movement tricks.
  • Hunter: 1% haste means faster shots, and +10% run speed helps you kite. A strong Horde pick.
  • Rogue: 1% haste gives more energy-free white hits and poison procs, and the run speed suits a class that moves a lot.
  • Shaman: Built around wind spirits in Blizzard's lore, and Wind Blessed haste fits a class that swings and casts.
  • Druid: New Skyborne druid forms, plus haste and run speed. The fresh Horde choice.

AllianceAlliance

HumanHuman

  • Warrior: Every race can be a Warrior, so pick on faction and looks until Blizzard publishes the reworked racials for the original races. We'll update this on launch day.
  • Paladin: The classic Alliance Paladin. Pick on looks and city until Blizzard posts the reworked racials.
  • Hunter: HumanHuman Hunters are new in Forever. Pick them if you want that look. We'll compare racials when Blizzard posts them.

DwarfDwarf

  • Paladin: The other Alliance option. Same advice: we'll compare racials once Blizzard publishes them for the original races.
  • Shaman: The only Alliance Shaman, and new in Forever.

Night ElfNight Elf

  • Rogue: Every race except TaurenTauren can be a Rogue. Pick on looks for now; we'll compare racials once Blizzard publishes them.
