Step by step

  1. Take the portal from Darnassus down to Rut'theran Village.
  2. Fly from Rut'theran Village to Auberdine, about 1 minute.
  3. Walk from the Auberdine flight master to the Auberdine dock (437 yards, about 1 minute on foot).
  4. Take the boat from Auberdine to Stormwind Harbor. The ride takes about 1 minute, and one leaves about every 4 minutes.
  5. Walk from Stormwind Harbor to the Stormwind flight master (884 yards, about 2 minutes on foot).

  • Your hearthstone, if it's set to an inn in Stormwind.
  • A mage in your group can open a portal to a capital city.

Good to know

  • You can only fly to flight points you've already found. Talk to each flight master on the way once, and the next trip gets shorter.
  • Boats and zeppelins went missing for long stretches in launch week. Blizzard put temporary portals near most docks and in the zeppelin towers. See boat or zeppelin not coming.
