Most players run short of gold at the same point: around 40, when new skills and other costs arrive together. These habits keep you ahead without auction house tricks. We don't list prices, because every Forever economy started from nothing on 4 November and prices still move daily.

Gather from level 1

A gathering profession pays for itself immediately. Two gathering professions earn the most while leveling. Swap one for a crafting profession at 60 if you want to make raid consumables. Our professions page lists which classes pair with what.

Spend less

  • Train the spell ranks you actually press. Your class guide points out which ones matter.
  • Skip gear you'll replace in two levels; quests and dungeons cover most slots.
  • Repair in town, not in the middle of a long session in the field.

Sell more

  • Vendor grey items on every trip to town.
  • Sell gathered materials early in small stacks while demand is high. Prices fall as more players reach your level band.
  • Don't trust prices a friend on another ruleset quotes. Blizzard hasn't documented whether rulesets share an auction house, and players disagree about it.

Never

Buy gold from third parties. It breaks Blizzard's EULA and it can close your account. Ignore whispers offering cheap gold.
