6 races can be a Priest in Forever: Troll, Undead on the Horde side, Human, Dwarf, Night Elf, Gnome for the Alliance (Blizzard race table). New in Forever: Gnome Priest.

Horde

  1. Undead: Dark Sacrifice turns health into Mana, and Cannibalize restores Mana as well as Health. Touch of the Grave has a 30% chance for casters.
  2. Troll: Regeneration raises health regen by 20% and Berserking lasts 15 seconds. Hex of Weakness and Shadowguard are unchanged Priest spells.

Alliance

  1. Human: Human Spirit gives 10% more Spirit, and Divine Grace is an emergency heal for others below 50% health. Our healer pick.
  2. Gnome: New in Forever. Contingency Plan is a safety net at 35% health, and Eureka!'s discount also covers Power Word: Shield.

These are our opinion, based on Blizzard's beta notes. Blizzard says each race has two active and two passive racials tuned for similar offensive power, so faction, looks and who you play with can still decide it.

  • Night Elf: Shadowmeld, Quickness, Wisp Form. Blizzard's posts name 3 of the 4.
  • Gnome: Eureka!. Blizzard's posts name 1 of the 4.
