Levelling: what to do at each level Beta data

Level as Retribution.

Seal up, Judge, Holy Strike on cooldown
Consecration from 20 for small packs
Heal yourself instead of eating between pulls
Tank dungeons with Seal of Fury from 10

1–10	Start in the Undead starting zone. First talent point at 10. Put it in Retribution for levelling. 6: Holy Strike is new: an instant melee strike that deals Holy damage. 10: Seal of Fury is new: a tanking seal that adds Holy damage to each swing, gives an absorb shield and makes Judgement taunt from 10 yards.
11–20	Talent milestone at 11. Talent milestone at 16. 20: Consecration is baseline for every Paladin. It hits the first four enemies in it hardest. Zone route for this band: after launch, from the live game.
21–30	Talent milestone at 21. Zone route for this band: after launch, from the live game.
31–40	Talent milestone at 31. Dual spec at 40: keep a tank spec and a levelling or second spec. Zone route for this band: after launch, from the live game.

Top tips

Heal yourself between pulls instead of sitting to eat. Drink when mana runs low.
Consecration hits the first four enemies hardest: pull small packs, not huge ones.
Use Blessing of Kings on yourself while leveling alone.

ProtectionA proper tank from the start. Seal of Fury at level 10 gives Holy damage per swing, an absorb shield and a 10-yard Judgement taunt.

Talent build After launch

Level in Retribution, then switch to Protection for your tank role (dual spec opens at 40). First point at 10, milestones at 11, 16, 21, 31. Respec: at your class trainer in a major city.

The point-by-point build with one-click copy arrives once the Forever talent trees are live and tested. Blizzard hasn't published the full trees, and we won't guess them.

What to grind Beta data

Professions for a Paladin

Mining + Blacksmithing: Plate and weightstones for a two-hander; Mining sells well at launch.
Herbalism: Gold while leveling; swap to a crafting profession at 60.

Camping (new in Forever)

Cooking's campfire becomes a shared camp. Up to three nearby players can each add one profession-crafted Camp Feature; sit or craft at the camp for a minute to get its buffs. Some camp buffs don't stack with class buffs (Blizzard launch post).

Reputations and zone farming spots: after launch, once the new Forever zones and their factions are mapped on live realms.
