Levelling: what to do at each level Beta data

Level as Affliction.

Pet in, Bane and Corruption up, then drain
Life Tap for mana, Drain Life it back
Finish with Drain Soul for shards

1–10	Start in the Troll starting zone. First talent point at 10. Put it in Affliction for levelling. 10: Voidwalker (class quest in Classic) (Classic level, check in game)
11–20	Talent milestone at 11. Talent milestone at 16. 20: Succubus (class quest in Classic) (Classic level, check in game) Zone route for this band: after launch, from the live game.

31–40	Talent milestone at 31. Dual spec at 40: keep a ranged spec and a levelling or second spec. Zone route for this band: after launch, from the live game.

Top tips

Let the Voidwalker hold the enemy before you start.
Life Tap and Drain Life replace most drinking.
Finish enemies with Drain Soul to build shards.

Your spec as a ranged damage Beta data

AfflictionDamage over time and drains. Pandemic and the capstone Wrack are new, and Banes replace Agony and Doom.

Talent build After launch

Level in Affliction, then switch to Affliction or Demonology or Destruction for your ranged damage role (dual spec opens at 40). First point at 10, milestones at 11, 16, 21, 31. Respec: at your class trainer in a major city.

The point-by-point build with one-click copy arrives once the Forever talent trees are live and tested. Blizzard hasn't published the full trees, and we won't guess them.

What to grind Beta data

Professions for a Warlock

Tailoring + Enchanting: Cloth gear for you; Spellstone and Firestone now stack with wizard oils from Enchanting.
Herbalism: Gold early; Alchemy later for mana potions.

Camping (new in Forever)

Cooking's campfire becomes a shared camp. Up to three nearby players can each add one profession-crafted Camp Feature; sit or craft at the camp for a minute to get its buffs. Some camp buffs don't stack with class buffs (Blizzard launch post).

Reputations and zone farming spots: after launch, once the new Forever zones and their factions are mapped on live realms.
