Levelling: what to do at each level Beta data

Level as Shadow.

Shield, damage-over-time spells, then Mind Flay
Wand the last bit of health to save mana
Shadow Word: Death from 32 to finish low targets
Heal dungeons on the side: groups always take you

1–10	Start in the Human starting zone. First talent point at 10. Put it in Shadow for levelling.
11–20	Talent milestone at 11. Talent milestone at 16. 20: Fear Ward and Devouring Plague are baseline for every Priest, whatever the race. Zone route for this band: after launch, from the live game.
21–30	Talent milestone at 21. 30: Divine Spirit is baseline. Zone route for this band: after launch, from the live game.
31–40	Talent milestone at 31. Dual spec at 40: keep a healer spec and a levelling or second spec. 32: Shadow Word: Death is new: an instant Shadow nuke that hurts you if the target survives. Zone route for this band: after launch, from the live game.
41–50	Keep questing and upgrading your weapon.Zone route for this band: after launch, from the live game.

Top tips

Shield first, then attack.
Finish low-health enemies with your wand.
Use Shadow Word: Death to finish a low-health enemy from 32. Mind the self-damage if it survives.

Your spec as a healer Beta data

DisciplineShields and Penance. Discipline gets two new gold talents, Soul Warding at 16 points and Penance at 21.

Talent build After launch

Level in Shadow, then switch to Discipline or Holy for your healer role (dual spec opens at 40). First point at 10, milestones at 11, 16, 21, 31. Respec: at your class trainer in a major city.

The point-by-point build with one-click copy arrives once the Forever talent trees are live and tested. Blizzard hasn't published the full trees, and we won't guess them.

What to grind Beta data

Professions for a Priest

Tailoring + Enchanting: Tailoring makes your cloth gear; Enchanting disenchants the cloth you outgrow.
Herbalism: Gold early, and Alchemy mana potions later.

Camping (new in Forever)

Cooking's campfire becomes a shared camp. Up to three nearby players can each add one profession-crafted Camp Feature; sit or craft at the camp for a minute to get its buffs. Some camp buffs don't stack with class buffs (Blizzard launch post).

Reputations and zone farming spots: after launch, once the new Forever zones and their factions are mapped on live realms.
