WoW Forever Invite-A-Friend codes: how they work

An Invite-A-Friend Launch Code lets a friend play WoW Forever without a subscription or Game Time during launch week, from 4 to 11 November 2026 PST. Everything here marked Confirmed is from Blizzard's pre-purchase post.

How many codes you get

Confirmed:

Purchase	Codes
Skyborne Heroic Pack	1
Skyborne Epic Pack	3
Warcraft Forever Collection	3

The base game on a subscription or Game Time doesn't come with a code. Gift purchases are excluded, and Blizzard says other restrictions apply.

How to send one

1. Look in your email. Blizzard began sending codes on 20 October.
2. Copy the code from the email.
3. Send it to your friend directly.
4. Your friend redeems it through Battle.net.

What your friend gets

• Confirmed: access to WoW Forever from 4 to 11 November PST, with no subscription or Game Time during that window.
• Confirmed: no beta access. The beta is over anyway.
• Unverified: a player thread says the code doesn't include Skyborne and isn't Game Time. That fits Blizzard's rule that Skyborne needs the Heroic Pack or higher, so plan on your friend not being able to play one.
• Unverified: a player says a code must be activated before 11 November. Don't leave it until the last day.

What we don't know

• Who counts as an "eligible" invitee. Blizzard points to a support article that we haven't been able to read, so check it if your friend's code is refused.
• What happens to your friend's characters when the week ends. Blizzard says playing needs a subscription or Game Time after that, but doesn't describe what happens to characters in the meantime.

Getting the most from the week

Pick the same ruleset and faction before your friend makes a character. Our launch-day checklist covers the rest. Be careful with codes posted publicly: you can't tell whether one has been used, and a page asking for your Battle.net login in return for a code isn't Blizzard.

If your code never arrived, contact Blizzard Support. For prices, see is WoW Forever free.
