Your Voidwalker has less health because Blizzard changed it on purpose: Warlock pets now gain 2 Health per point of your Stamina, down from 7.5. That's in Blizzard's 2 November development notes. So it isn't a launch bug.
What changed
- Confirmed: pets gain 2 Health per point of the Warlock's Stamina (was 7.5).
- Confirmed: Voidwalker Sacrifice scales with 10% of your spell healing, per the same notes.
- Confirmed: Warlock class training costs are lowered to allow for the cost of pet Grimoires.
What players are saying
Unverified. Threads such as Voidwalker has half the health of Classic and a request for a pet hotfix are running on the forums. The "half" figure is a player's comparison, and we haven't measured it. When we checked on 5 November, we found no staff reply promising a change. Blizzard's notes don't say the change will be reversed.
The stamina part of a pet's health is what got cut. Pets also have their own base health, so the size of the drop depends on your gear and level.
What to do while levelling
- Stacking Stamina helps less than it used to for your pet's health. It still helps you.
- Stop pulling as many at once. Your pet can't hold as much as it could in Classic.
- Keep your pet healed before the next pull, and keep it out of big packs.
- Check your talents. See our Warlock guide and the Warlock leveling plan.
We'll update this page if Blizzard changes the number. All posted changes are listed on the updates page.
