Every new race and class combination in WoW Forever

Launch day is here (3:00 pm PST). If you're making a character tonight, these are the pairs you couldn't make in the original game. They come from Blizzard's race and class table.

The six new pairs

• Orc Mage: the Horde's sturdiest-looking caster.
• Troll Warlock: Trolls can now play every class except Druid and Paladin.
• Undead Paladin: the only way to play a Paladin on the Horde side.
• Human Hunter: Humans can now be anything but Druid or Shaman.
• Gnome Priest: Blizzard mentions new Gnome Priest racial options.
• Dwarf Shaman: the only Alliance Shaman.

And the Skyborne

The Windshaper Skyborne (Horde) can be Druid, Hunter, Rogue, Shaman or Warrior. The High Order Skyborne (Alliance) can be Druid, Hunter, Mage, Rogue or Warrior. See our Skyborne guide.

What this means for factions

Both factions now have every class. Horde players who wanted a Paladin go Undead. Alliance players who wanted a Shaman go Dwarf. If you picked your faction years ago for the class, that reason is gone. Pick for friends and looks instead.
