Best professions for every class in WoW Forever
Updated 2026-11-01

For your first character, the honest answer is the same for most classes: two gathering professions while you level, then switch one to crafting at 60. Gathering pays for training, mounts and repairs. Still, some pairs fit some classes better.
Our picks
- Warrior, Paladin: Mining for gold, then Blacksmithing or Engineering at 60. Warriors should train First Aid too.
- Rogue, Hunter, Druid: Skinning and Leatherworking pair well with leather and mail wearers. Druids are great herbalists thanks to Travel Form.
- Mage, Priest, Warlock: Tailoring makes cloth gear while you level. Enchanting goes well with it, since you'll have plenty of cloth gear to break down.
- Shaman: Herbalism and Mining while leveling. Alchemy pairs well with a healer's mana needs at 60.
Engineering and forms
Blizzard's notes mention that some Engineering items, the SAF-T and EZ-Thro recipes, now work in Druid forms. Feral Druids who like gadgets have a reason to try it.
Camping
Cooking's Basic Campfire becomes a shared Camping system in Forever. Nearby players can each add one profession-crafted Camp Feature, up to three. Some camp buffs don't stack with class buffs. It's worth having at least one friend with a crafting profession who brings a feature.
